Football is a game. Each team has 10 players and 1 goalkeeper.
The biggest football tournament is called the FIFA World Cup. The first one was played in 1930. It happens every 4 years, but not in 1942 and 1946 because of World War II.
Brazil has won the most world cup titles, with five victories.
The FIFA World Cup final is one of the most-watched sporting events globally, with billions of viewers.
In 2018, France played Croatia in the final, and 1.12 billion people watched it.
The fastest goal in football history was scored by Nawaf Al Abed of Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal FC in just two seconds during a match in 2009, straight from the kickoff.
There is another big football game called the UEFA Euro. In Euro 2024, Spain won against England. The score was 2 to 1.
