Cooking Up Confidence and Creativity

Our Cooking Club has been stirring up excitement and skills in the kitchen this term! Running through to Christmas, the club has been a fantastic hands-on opportunity for students to learn essential cooking techniques, from hygiene basics and teamwork to mastering knife skills, peeling, chopping, and understanding safe food temperatures.

One of the most rewarding aspects has been watching students push themselves out of their comfort zones, discovering new flavors and foods they didn’t think they’d enjoy! Our sessions have been filled with culinary highlights: warm vegetable soup for chilly days, chocolate-dipped fruit for a touch of sweetness, and spooky Halloween treats like deviled eggs and “worms in dirt.”

As we continue this delicious journey, we can’t wait to see what other new skills and flavors our young chefs will explore. Stay tuned for more mouthwatering updates !
