Year 9 art

Year 9 started this year with a portrait unit, where they experienced working with a wide range of media and styles.

Even though the unit was about portraits, a few students asked me whether they can paint landscapes instead, just for that one lesson – I allowed it, as the best art often happens when the person enjoys working on it.

This painting is by Emiliia, and the feature image painting is by Anna. This unit was a fun challenge for the students, and there’s a heap of artworks to be exibited.
