DESCRIPTION:Diwali\, also known as the Festival of Lights\, is one of the m
 ost widely celebrated holidays in India and across the globe. Rooted in an
 cient traditions\, Diwali marks the triumph of light over darkness\, knowl
 edge over ignorance\, and good over evil.\n\nThis five-day celebration is 
 filled with vibrant customs: homes are adorned with oil lamps (diyas)\, co
 lorful rangoli designs are created at entrances\, and fireworks light up t
 he night sky. Families come together to share delicious sweets\, exchange 
 gifts\, and offer prayers for prosperity and happiness. For many\, Diwali 
 is also a time for reflection\, renewal\, and togetherness.\n\nThough orig
 inating from Hindu traditions\, Diwali is embraced by people from diverse 
 backgrounds and faiths\, making it a symbol of inclusivity and community. 
 No matter where you're from\, Diwali's message of hope and positivity is u
 niversal.\n\nWe invite you to join in the Diwali spirit by learning about 
 its rich history and participating in the festivities. Whether it's lighti
 ng a candle\, enjoying traditional sweets\, or spreading joy within your c
 ommunity\, Diwali is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate unity and l
 ight. Happy Diwali!\n\nAlthough Dwali is officially celebrated during Fall
  Break\, we're happy to celebrate it at school the 1st week of Nov.  With
  a big Celebration on Fri 8 Nov.\n\n
