Mr. Daniel Naidoo- new teacher at EISB.

Mr. Daniel Naidoo

I am extremely thrilled to be joining the team and being part of the extended community here at EISB. I hold dual citizenship for South Africa and the United Kingdom. I am asked quite often, “So where is home?” Well, home is what I make for myself no matter where I am, regardless of how long I intend to stay. “Home is where the heart is.”

Durban, South Africa

My teaching career began at a  very reputable private school in Durban, South Africa. I then moved to London and spent almost a decade at the same independent school where Her Majesty is its patron. Having explored most parts of western Europe I then decided to venture out and spent the past 7 years teaching at an IB school in Penang Malaysia, while using my holidays to travel South East Asia and Australia. I have thoroughly enjoyed my teaching experiences for the past 21 years and have learnt and grown as an educator by attending many school festivals, competitions, sporting events, conferences and by networking with numerous teachers on the international circuit.

I believe in the value of education and deliver my lessons bearing in mind the 21st Century skills of Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication and Innovation. I fully embrace the Project Based Learning approach here at EISB and its student-centred focus. I accept that all children are unique and ensure they have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially to meet their full potential. I provide a safe environment where the learners feel included and where they are invited to take risks, grow in confidence and understand their role as global citizens. It is also imperative that my students are challenged and have a lot of fun during lessons. When it is time to work, we will work! But making time to laugh is also important during our learning journey.

I thoroughly enjoy being a classroom teacher but I also have a passion for the performing arts. I have directed and produced numerous school drama productions and there are plans for a musical show towards the end of the academic year. I am also keen on various sports.

It has been fantastic learning about the local culture in Bratislava and I look forward to exploring Eastern Europe. I am hoping to experience some snow somewhere in the region! I have no doubt that it’s going to be a rewarding teaching experience here at EISB. I look forward to meeting and working with some of you.

Daniel Naidoo.

Sorry not to hear from you; don’t feel you have to respond. I still love that song we wrote together at RRPS, Mrs Cobbler’s Song which Francesca sang so nicely. She is doing well in the Swimming world and the opera world! You can Google her.
I’ve written a new musical which is currently touring the south coast. Bonny&Read can be found under novandaproductions.co.uk

I hope this finds you well.
    Best wishes
